WHO WE ARE

The AlphaCares Health Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent charity organization founded by a group of focused and philanthropic individuals aimed at bringing about better health and health care for people in Nigeria.

Our aim is a healthier population, supported by high quality health care that can be equitably accessed. We learn what works to make people live healthier and improve the health care system.

We make links between the knowledge we gain from working with those delivering health care and our research and analysis. Our aspiration is to create a virtuous circle, using what we know works on the ground to inform effective policy-making and vice versa.

We believe good health and health care are key to a flourishing society. Through sharing what we learn, collaborating with others and building people’s skills and knowledge, we aim to make a difference and contribute to a healthier population.

WHAT WE DO

Our activities expand across four key work streams:

  • To improve health service delivery
  • To make health policy-making more effective
  • A healthier Nigeria population
  • Healthy environment

To meet our aims within each of these areas we plan to:

  • Test innovations and spread what works through advocacy
  • Build skills and knowledge through empowerment of health workers
  • Develop and share evidence on what works and how to sustain it
  • Educate the populace through community engagement.

We Need Your Support

At AlphaCares Health Foundation, we carry out day-to-day activities in which all our members are involved. We want you to join us in carrying out this activities together.

We also need your support in terms of donations  to enable us continue our humanly services to the various communities.
